Services for International Students

Print

International Students More than one-third of Olin graduate students are from countries outside the United States. Olin offers special resources to assist international students, including a separate orientation program and a series of business-oriented English Language Program courses.

Career Engagement

Clubs established by Chinese, Indian, Japanese and Korean students and alumni create additional support networks and often help with the recruitment of candidates. Throughout the academic year, the Weston Career Center partners with student clubs to offer industry-specific, career-search-focused workshops that prepare students for the real world.

Career Resources

As an international student, you have access to the full range of Weston Career Center activities, including:

  • Self-assessment
  • Career planning
  • Identifying target industries and companies
  • Guidance for cover letter/résumé writing
  • Interviewing skills
  • Evaluating and negotiating an offer

The Weston Career Center provides specialized resources specific to international students to help you design and manage your career plan, whether you are intending to work in the United States or are expecting to return to your home region.

In addition, Washington University's Office for International Students & Scholars offers a wide range of information and support services, including visa and immigration issues, cross-cultural training and orientation.

Please refer to pages 50-51 of the Career Guide for more information about the job search process for international students.
