Weston Career Center provides services throughout your student's academic career, from the first day of college until graduation. Our career timetable and our Guide for Parents (pdf) provide a broad view on how a student will navigate through the career planning process during college and addresses common questions as to when a student should begin to engage with the WCC.
Browse our website to learn about the programs, tools and resources we provide.
One goal of the WCC is to provide a successful link between education and the "real world" of work. The WCC helps mitigate the stress and pressure of the job search with timely information and advice about careers in business. There is no "right" or "wrong" career path, and every student is treated as an individual, regardless of his or her chosen course of academic study.
We also teach the required sophomore career education course, Building Your Career Foundation: Techniques & Strategies (MGT250A). Read more in Services We Offer for BSBAs.
One-on-one career advisor appointments can take place at any point in a student's college career. The goals for an advising session vary from student to student. Our functional and industry specialists will help your student clarify career objectives and navigate the job and internship search process.
The sooner your student becomes familiar with the staff, resources and programs, the better prepared he or she will be to make informed career decisions.
